November has certainly been an exciting time for all of us! Holding the USA Presidential election during the pandemic of COVID-19 was a feat filled with stress and anxiety. Regardless of how you may have voted in the national event, we all recognize that it is a time for healing in this country, of rejuvenating the soul of America.

In the midst of an autumn when the colors of the foliage have been especially vibrant such as the above Japanese maple, you are watching America go through a transformation from rigidity and divisiveness to a country of flexibility and cooperation. United we stand!

What can you do to help heal your family, community, and country? What small steps can you initiate to move the atmosphere towards harmony and translucency?

Here is an example of something I am doing in my own family:

• I have a few cousins who are on the opposite end of the political spectrum.

• I even share a birthday with one in particular who is especially vocal.

• But I have found a way to still stay connected which is to like all of the photos of his
athletic sons and beautiful wife.

• We may disagree politically but are still family and I love his. He does the same for me.

Gratitude is the attitude:

• Be grateful that everything has been certified and the election is legitimate.

• Be grateful that the holiday of Thanksgiving is soon.

• List 3 things you are grateful for, 3 people you are grateful for, 3 emotions you are grateful for.

I am a Scorpio, born in the beginning of November. Many of my gifts merge with traditional Scorpio traits: passionate, independent, brave as the picture says.

The poem, “The Phoenix”, is in honor of Scorpio’s final transformation.
